We don't share it with advertisers. Google Analytics only runs if you say yes. We only contact you about your booking unless you opt into marketing, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Email us at hello@simpleunistorage.com to see, change, or delete your data.

How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

Fulfil your booking — process your order, arrange collection and delivery, and handle payments. Legal basis: performance of a contract.

Communicate with you — send booking confirmations by email, collection slot notifications by SMS or WhatsApp, and respond to enquiries. Legal basis: performance of a contract and legitimate interests.

Send marketing emails — occasional offers, discounts, or service updates. We only do this with your consent, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. Legal basis: consent.

Improve our website — understand how visitors use the site so we can make it better. Legal basis: consent (analytics cookies are only loaded if you accept them).

Who we share your data with

We only share your data with third parties who help us deliver our service:

Stripe — for secure payment processing.

Google Analytics — for anonymised website usage statistics (only with your consent).

Email and messaging providers — to send you booking confirmations and notifications.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We do not share it with any third party for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies

Essential cookies — required for the site to function properly, including payment processing (Stripe) and remembering your cookie preferences. These do not require consent.

Analytics cookies — Google Analytics cookies are only set if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site.

How long we keep your data

We keep your booking data for up to 2 years after your last booking to handle any queries or disputes. Financial records are retained for 6 years as required by UK tax law. Marketing consent records are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is anonymised and aggregated.
